Sheffield Hypnotic CPD Trainers Richard And Vincent

focused training logoWhen you are looking for a quality Continuing Professional Development course (CPD) to further develop and extend your hypnotherapy practise you must look at several factors besides the content of the course and the cost.

The most important element, I would say, is who is doing the training and what gives them the authority to put on the course? To find out who is putting on the courses at Focused Training have a look at the bios below for Richard and Vincent.

There are plenty of trainers out there who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. I give all my hypnotherapy clients a guide called “10 things you MUST know before getting hypnotherapy” and in that guide I make it very clear that there are some con-men (and women!) out there but luckily through asking the right kinds of questions they can identify the good eggs.

The same applies to training. Ask questions of anyone putting on a CPD to check they are fit and capable of doing it before you sign up below.

The Focused Training Trainers

There are currently two trainers offering courses through Focused Training. There is me, Richard Hennessy, and my colleague Vincent Foster. We ONLY train people in areas that we are extremely knowledgeable about and experienced in.

For this reason you will NOT find us putting on 74 different courses on diverse issues like past life regression to weight control, pregnancy to eating disorders. When you travel (potentially a hundred miles or more) and when you spend over £100 pounds you want to see someone who knows what they are on about, not just someone making a fast buck by pumping out sub-standard training. That is why you come to us, Richard and Vincent.

Richard Hennessy: HPD, Dip H, Dip NLP, Cert DE

Richard Hennessy - Hypnotherapist in Sheffield“My name is Richard and I am 36 and have been working full time as a hypnotherapist since 2009. I also work as a volunteer business mentor, helping people on job seekers allowance to take their idea for self employment from an idea to a reality.

The area I specialise in is business development and website improvement. Once becoming a qualified and registered hypnotherapist I quickly realised that I had to be at the top of the Google search results in order to have a successful business and that is exactly what I set out to do. I now have a consistently high ranked website and am enjoying the benefits of this.

I have literally spent years researching the methods and techniques that local business owners can do to be a big fish in their small pond. Most hypnotherapists aren’t interested in attracting new clients from over 100 miles away, there are plenty of potential customers within 15 miles. Focus on them. THAT is exactly what I have done for my business and that I what I can help you do with yours.

My experience has been gained through trial and error and investing a large amount of time and money in training courses on the subject and training myself to be the best. I can now pass on that real-world knowledge and experience to you.”

Vincent Foster: Dip. THP (N-SHAP) BIH, Practitioner of NHR, Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP (SNLP)

“My first qualifications in Hypnosis and NLP were gained in 1999 and 2001. Training with the National School of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (N-SHAP) and with some of the world’s leading experts in personal change. These included Dr Richard Bandler, Paul Mckenna, John Lavalle and Michael Breen.

In 2004 I attended the skills bases course in NHR (Neuro Hypnotic Repatterning) with META. Since this time I have attended non-certificated courses as well as peer groups to exchange and share knowledge. Over the past 14 years I have worked in a variety of natural health clinics and spas. Including 6 years at Ragdale Hall Health Hydro, one of the UK’s leading health resorts. There I offered clients hypnotherapy/NLP/NHR and other complimentary therapies.

I have been involved in complimentary/holistic therapies for 29 years. This interest began in 1984 whilst studying an Oriental health system called Kyu Shin. This involved various health practices including Meditation, massage, breathing exercises and combat disciplines. Since then I took qualification in Shiatsu, Chinese massage and Thai yoga massage. I have spent time in Thailand studying Thai yoga massage and meditation techniques.”
